My name is Alex Taylor and I am a Development Team Lead at Enlighten Designs and I live in Hamilton, New Zealand. I graduated from the University of Waikato with Bachelor of Computer and Mathematical Science Degree (BCMS).
In my day job, I manage a team of developers working on web, SharePoint and software projects for both large and small companies around the country and occasionally around the world. I have been working professionally creating websites and software for over 5 years.
I like photography and music.
I have a deep breadth of experience coding in a range of languages such as PHP4, PHP5, Javascript, Java, C++, C# and Visual Basic. In the past I’ve hacked around in some Objective C, Perl, Ruby, ASP, Bash Scripting and ActionScript. At the moment, I spend most of my time working in C#, Javascript. I have extensive knowledge of JSON, AJAX, XML and use these daily in my current position.
My blog includes post about things happening in my life as well as music that I enjoy listening to and movies that I think are worthy of watching. I also write articles about new technologies and about companies both on the internet and offline. When I encounter web design problems I need to find solutions for or have overcome, I try to post about it on my website as a resource for others that may hit into the same problem themselves.
